High Resolution Imaging:

With the highest image resolution of 12.0 Megapixels, the true color digital imagers from Erdman attain a resolution that is 72X and 46X as high as other analog video systems commonly using the CIF format. Erdman also features up to 26X optical zoom and 312X digital zoom with precise pan\tilt\zoom positioning control and presets.

Dual Camera Systems:

The Erdman dual camera system integrates the dramatic results obtained from Olympus high resolution digital cameras in terms of clarity, color, dynamic range and combines this with the flexibility and power features of the Sony FCBEX980S CCTV camera. The Sony FCBEX980S camera combines a new incredibly high 26 times zoom and Auto ICR (Infrared Cut-Filter Removal) capability with a 1/4 type Super HAD™ CCD using Sony's image stabilization technology. The FCBEX980S camera features a 26x lens that is "tele-shifted" toward the telephoto end of the zoom range to provide the highest TELEPHOTO zoom capability (1.7 degree H-FOV) available in the Sony FCB family.

Long-term Recording:

Erdman cameras will continuously record video (24/7) using our M-JPEG format. The optional 120GB capacity hard drive will store up to 27 days of archived video. The Erdman Systems VmView application allows easy remote browsing and download of the archived images stored on the system from anywhere on the globe.

Vandal Resistant Weatherproof Enclosure:

Erdman cameras are primarily designed for outdoor use and are certified according to IP66. Windshield Wiper\Pump Spray and Stainless Steel options are available for security monitoring in the most extreme corrosive and harsh environments.

Powerful Night Imaging and Zoom Support:

The integrated Sony FCB-EX980S camera supports low light black and white imaging at night. Optional Active-IR illuminators vastly enhance the "night vision" performance of the FCB-EX980S.

Active-IR advantages and applications include:

Eliminate shadows, and reveal identifying lettering, numbers and objects.
Can see through windows and is useful for DEA and other law enforcement and Homeland Security operatives.
Illuminate target scenes at wavelengths that are invisible to the human eye.
Allows flash pulse lighting for covert surveillance similar to timed invisible “flash” photography, it can be used to selectively & discreetly capture surveillance video.
Low-light surveillance where light conditions are less than optimal.
Discreet surveillance where the use of artificial light is restricted.
