Texas Bighorn Society Web-Cam

Welcome to the TBS web-cam. We have installed a portable camera system in wild desert bighorn sheep habitat in the mountains of West Texas. The camera is motion activated, and will download still photos to our website twice daily, giving us an opportunity to view wild sheep and other wildlife in their natural habitat without the disturbance of actually being on site. There are also charts that give us the current weather conditions. It is our hope that the biologists working with the desert bighorns will be able to use these photos to better understand the habits and biology of these animals, as well as providing the public with a chance to view these very rare animals in a truly wild setting. Please enjoy, and consider joining our organizations efforts in bringing these magnificent creatures back from the brink of extinction, and ensuring the viability of their habit in the future.
These are the latest pictures we have received. They are downloaded directly to the website in thumbnail form, and unedited, so you will see whatever is using the area where the camera is set up. You can also review past day’s images by clicking on the list button and scrolling to the day you are interested in. You may also choose to view a high-resolution picture of outstanding images in the past by clicking on a thumbnail in the archive section at the end of this page.
